Ongoing Developer Support
An experienced developer you can call on for maintenance, fixes and improvements, without hiring full-time staff. Whether you need help once in a while or every week, you work directly with me.
What you can hire me for
- Maintenance: keeping your application and database healthy and up to date
- Troubleshooting: finding out what went wrong when something breaks, and fixing it
- Feature additions: the new fields, reports, screens and rules your business needs over time
- Occasional development work: a specific change or small project when it comes up
- Longer-term technical support: being the developer who knows your system, for as long as you need one
Ways we can work together
As needed
You contact me when something comes up: a bug, a change or a question. This suits stable systems that only need attention now and then.
Ongoing
A regular arrangement for systems that need steady attention or a continuing list of improvements. We can agree on whatever suits the amount of work.
After a project
If I've built or taken over something for you, I can stay on to support it afterwards, so you aren't left looking for someone new to learn the system.
Why continuity matters
A developer who already knows your system fixes problems faster, makes fewer surprising changes and can tell you what a request really involves. Much of my work is long-term. For example, I've served as long-term webmaster and developer for Syntezza, looking after both their website and the office backend system their staff use, and I continue to maintain sites I built years ago.
You can always rely on Esther!
Small requests are welcome
You don't need a big project to get in touch. A single fix or a few hours of work is a perfectly good reason to contact me, and it's often how long working relationships begin.
